Hello to everyone.

A little background to my problem.
I've had a Geforce 470 gtx for 4-5 years now. From the beginning I've had overheating problems with this card. Crashes from overheating, 100+ degrees when gaming etc. This past week I've been trying everything I could in order to make the GPU not overheat. Yesterday I totally gave up, abandoning hope. This gpu had been faulty since the start I thought.

HOWEVER, today the weirdest thing happened. I suddenly thought of using my TV to watch some CS:GO. I've read everywhere about second monitors highering the temps by quite a lot. In my case the instant I connected my TV to my graphics card. Temps dropped by about 20 degrees, from 68~72 idle to 48-50 degrees idle. I started experimenting, disconnecting and reconnecting my TV. Same result every time.

So here I am, completely lost for word as to what is happening. I've been googling for many days now, and I can't seem to find anyone with this problem. It's always the reverse happening for other people.

Here's a picture of temps WITH the TV connected (47 degrees)

Here's a picture of temps WITHOUT the TV connected. (66 degrees, after a few hours it's usually up to 70~73 degrees idle. Mind you it doesn't matter how long I wait, the temps quite quickly get to these numbers and stay there) It gets much worse if I don't use MSI afterburner to adjust the fans manually.

Hope I've made my case clear.
Does anyone have any idea? Would be very greatful for any advice you might have.

Thank you.

Actually nevermind, I just now realized that my main monitor goes from 144hz to 60hz whenever I connect my TV...
Shit. Move along. The problem still remains with the overheating though I guess, as even with my previous 60hz monitor my computer crashed a lot due to overheating. I guess the card is just gone.
