Hi,I recently bought new hardware for pc.And i have problem with CPU.I have amd fx-8320E and in task manager it is showing only 2 cores and 4 logical cores. When I go to msconfig>boot>advanced options>number of processors it is showing only 4 cores instead of 8.But 1 week earlier it was showing 8 cores! and now only 4.What is wrong here ? I have windows 8 pro.
(sorry for my english)

Have you done any significant driver or bios updates lately? A common cause of this issue is a setting changed in the bios.

The octa-core processors are not TRULY 8 cores. They have 4 physical cores and 8 logical cores, which Windows sometimes reads erroneously. As long as BIOS doesn't have any cores disabled, you're fine. Odds are your power management features are kicking in and disabling cores at idle to save power.
