Hey guys!
I recently bought a pre-built PC (full specs: http://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c04799759), I was only going to upgrade the GPU, PSU, and coolers, but people suggested me to change the case as well, so it seems I will have to build a new one. But I must confess that I'm a total noob in this. Only yesterday have I opened the current PC for the first time in my life.

Right now I already have many parts
1. parts from the pre-built PC
- processor: i7 6700 3.4GHz
- MB: micro ATX Thimphu by Pegatron, please review this MB specs, it is not a standard one. http://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c04790224
- 16 Ram
- 256GB SSD and 2 TB Hard drive
- DVD drive cage

new parts that I bought/buying
- GPU: Evga GTX 980Ti SC+
- PSU: fully modular Evga Supernova 750 G2 80 plus gold certified
- Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro M Black ATX Mid Tower Case (should I get a mid tower or full tower if I will only be having 1 GPU?)
- cooling for CPU: I'm not decided on the cooling system. As noted above my CPU is not a standard one, so I'm not sure what to get. Please offer me some suggestions. For general cooling, I want to have air cooling rather than water.

What do you think of this build? Am I missing something? are the components compatible with each other (PSU-GPU, PSU-cage, etc?) And please please provide me some really-noob-friendly building guides. So far the YT videos and guides seem to assume that I've built PCs before, or assume that I know all components very well. They don't even explain where/how to plug in all the wires and cables etc.

Thanks so much!

If you want an air cooler, Zalman CNPS10X OPTIMA is a pretty good cheap option. If you want to go with water cooling, Kraken x61 is normally suggested on these forums, although I must admit I've never used water cooling. That aside, the build looks OK. You can check their compatibility on PCpartpicker. As to the wires and cables - they use "jacks", kind of. You can't plug in the wrong one since they can only be plugged into a cable with an identical jack.
