Need some help to upgrade my pc parts

Hello,

So I bought this pc a while ago and I think it finally needs parts upgrade. Mostly because I do a lot of gaming and streaming on it and video editing. Price on parts doesn't matter. All help will be appreciated.

Motherboard I think it's a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3. As for PSU how do I find that out because all I know it has a 400 watts power supply. Let me know if this is not what you need.

Okay, so let's start.

GA-78LMT-USB3 motherboard is a budget solution. It is not made for hot CPUs like FX 8-cores. The best CPU upgrade would be FX-6300, which is an okay 6-core which will really help with editing and streaming as well as gaming because of its better single core performance than the old FX-41xx/61xx/81xx series CPUs. Make sure your current version of BIOS supports the FX-6300 and if it doesn't, update your BIOS to the latest version.

What kind of gaming experience do you expect? At what resolution? What graphical settings? Which games?

As for gaming most new games I'm playing in low setting would like to play them in mid or high settings. As for resolution I'm play on 1920. For game I would be playing fallout 4 bo3 n most new games.

I also need more pace so I need another hard drive right now I only have 1tb sata on it

1920 resolution? huh? Do you mean 1920x1080? In that case it's called 1080p resolution.

As for the hard drive, get WD Caviar Blue 1TB or if you need more space, get WD Green 2TB+

Yes. Check out this PSU Tier List at Tom's: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

It is safe to buy PSUs listed under Tiers 1 and 2.

Good Tier 1 units are EVGA Supernova GS, G2 and P2 Series PSUs.
For Tier 2, you have XFX TS Series PSUs, EVGA Supernova B2 PSUs, Corsair RM, and S12-II Seasonic PSUs.

Pick whichever fits your budget.

Also, I checked again and some people say they could make FX 8-core work on that board but as I said, it is recommended that a 6-core should be a max for that Mobo - the motherboard is not high quality. You should be fine even with the 6-core.

but I guess the Gold one with 50 watt's more is better.

I'll get the 6-core one since I'll be getting a better pc in a few months and giving this one to my brother.
