Need some help to upgrade my pc parts

Solution
Okay, so let's start.

GA-78LMT-USB3 motherboard is a budget solution. It is not made for hot CPUs like FX 8-cores. The best CPU upgrade would be FX-6300, which is an okay 6-core which will really help with editing and streaming as well as gaming because of its better single core performance than the old FX-41xx/61xx/81xx series CPUs. Make sure your current version of BIOS supports the FX-6300 and if it doesn't, update your BIOS to the latest version.

What kind of gaming experience do you expect? At what resolution? What graphical settings? Which games?

Motherboard I think it's a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3. As for PSU how do I find that out because all I know it has a 400 watts power supply. Let me know if this is not what you need.

Yes, that's actually enough.

Ah thank do have a link where I can buy this.

As for gaming most new games I'm playing in low setting would like to play them in mid or high settings. As for resolution I'm play on 1920. For game I would be playing fallout 4 bo3 n most new games.

I also need more pace so I need another hard drive right now I only have 1tb sata on it

1920 resolution? huh? Do you mean 1920x1080? In that case it's called 1080p resolution.

Probably the best option for a GPU is the GTX 960 2GB or R9 380 4GB. Here's a video comparison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0HzWW6mDno

Also, here's the link to the CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113286&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009O7YORK/?tag=pcpapi-20

It's being sold on Amazon and Newegg for the same price.

Thank you will check them out right now. Also how would I check/update BIOS to see for the FX-6300?

Check the BIOS to see the veesion of the BIOS, then see if that particular version supports FX-6300 at the manufacturer's website.

I opened my pc last night and I saw that it has a 500 watt PSU. My second pick for a PSU was going to be http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KFAFRW6/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=27NSYMLX1JB3A&coliid=I23AG3ME7BRVRG&psc=1
but I guess the Gold one with 50 watt's more is better.

I'll get the 6-core one since I'll be getting a better pc in a few months and giving this one to my brother.
