I've tried cleaning the card with compressed air and running the pc with the side panel off but it still didn't work. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

HoastfulWatcher i belive this is normal for an old card like that. I have an R9 290X which can run up to 95c while gaming :/
Although i didnt think nvidias cards would go that high in temps, but do note its an old card, it could also be a bad thermal paste job done by the producer of the card. Order some thermal paste and reapply new, but do remember to clean the old thermal paste off.

I've had it for about a year and a half now with no problems, so it's not too old. I also have no idea how to go about applying thermal paste.
I'll probably take it to a shop to get it seen to. When playing some games, my pc restarts when the temp gets too high.

Okay so your card dosent support that high temps, it shuts off to protect itself. I do suggest you go to an IT workshop and get them to reapply thermal paste on the card, it also might be something wrong with the cooler. But i suggest the thermal paste reapplying asap.
