I've decided to customize a HP G1 Z2 that HP advertises on their website. It fits in my price range perfectly, but wanted to get some help on a couple things from you guys to help me out. This is the specifications of my build:

HP Z1 G2 Energy Star Workstation
Win Pro 10 64
Intel Xeon E3 1246v3 (up to 3.9 GHz)
Nvidia Quadro K3100M 4GB Graphics Card
16GB DDR3-1600 nECC (4x4GB) Unbuffered Ram
1st HDD slot: 1TB 7200 RPM SATA
2nd HDD slot: 2TB 7200 RPM SATA
RAID 0
HP Wireless AIO Keyboard/Mouse kit
HP Chassis Intrusion Sensor
HP 2.5 HDD Carrier
HP Thunderbolt Port 2 Cover

Now, I am building this for video editing use pretty much, since I use Sony Vegas Pro 13, Hitfilm Pro 3 (am getting version 4 soon), Reaper, Audacity and Davinci Resolve 12 Beta.
I've heard that SSD is better than HDD, but the 512 GB option of an SSD is $500 to add to this, but found one that is $200 less and is about 945 GB (almost a terabyte) online. Do I really need a SSD right now when I have 3 terabytes worth, with an added external 1TB HDD on the side? I'm not in a rush to get a SSD, but plan on getting the 945 GB SSD later as a backup of sorts.
My second question is what is the reason for a chassis intrusion sensor or just a chassis in general?
I've read that people who do video editing don't really need a Xeon E3, and that the i7 is standard and perfect for video editing needs, but I just added the Xeon since it still fit into my price range.

My god that thing is overpriced. $4000AUD. You can build a similar PC for like $2000AUD. And you dont need a Xeon E3, thats just overkill. Nvidia Quadro GPUs are good for vid editing, but trust me other nvidia card are really good aswell. Like the GTX 960, GTX 970.

Chassis intrusion sensor= if some got a screwdriver and opened your PC, but im guessing you wont have diamonds stashed in there. SO you Definitely dont need that.

And you said you found A SSD of 945GB, you do realise what your about to buy is a workstation, everything is inside the screen. You better off building a PC yourself, cause these All in one in screen PCs dont perform at the maximum, cause everything is crammed behind the screen.

heres a pc you can build for...

heres a pc you can build for vid editing

i7 4790k(k means u can overclock it) $378USD
ASRock H97 LGA 1150 Motherboard $70USD
HYPER X Fury 16GB(2x8gb) Ram(16gb is good for vid editing) $80USD
GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 $330-360USD(depends which brand u buy Gigabyte,MSI,ASUS, all the same just different looks)
Seagate Barracuda 3TB harddrive $80USD(dont really need a SSD as vid editing is Dependant on the CPU+GPU+RAM)
Corsair RM750 750watt Power Supply $90USD
CD DRIVE $15USD
Case (any case you like aslong as it is ATX size) I really like the Storm Scout 2. About $100USD

So thats around $1100-1200USD. Will get you lots of good performance for what u need. And u can upgrade parts in the future.

I got all these prices and parts from New Egg online

Enjoy
