Will these ram modules work together?

First off, I want to say that I know that it isn't recommended to mix ram module brands, but it can work.

I bought a pair of GeIL EVO Veloce Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) ddr3 1600 (Timing is 9-9-9-28), but I found a pair of G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) ddr3 1600 (timing is 9-9-9-24) for 10 dollars less. I was wondering if I would have any problems installing these two sets into my computer at once. Both sets are rated at 1.5 Volts

Thanks in advance!

Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 5
Graphics card: MSI GTX 960 Gaming 4g
Processor: Intel core i5 4690k
Memory: GeIL EVO Veloce 8gb (2 x 4GB)
Storage: 1TB WD Blue 7200rpm

There's no guarantee those modules will work together since they are different models and bought from different packs. Even the exact same model of RAM might not work together if obtained from a different pack.

It's about a 50/50 chance that mixed RAM will work together and your mileage may vary. Only way to know for sure is to try it, so as long as you're aware that you might need to send the newer set back you could certianly give it a try if you have the extra money and time.

I would personally recommend saving up that money and using it to buy a proper 16 GB RAM kit down the road.
