Router Access Point/Repeater Problems

Have Comcast Internet Triple Play. Modem is Cisco DPC3939. My Modem/Router is an Asus RT-N66U about 100ft via lan cable into an RV setup (tin walls). When in AP Mode i can get Internet fine. my brother in Main house has constant drops in wifi even though they are les than 25ft away from Ciscio modem/router. With my Asus router in repeater mode my brother still has WiFi drops in main house. I can wifi fine out in my RV. My laptop get wifi good but my Android devices are Laggy on wifi. My Bro has been looking into a google Ohub, me range extenders/boosters.

Perhaps a conflict between the routers, but perhaps not enough information to diagnose a fix yet. I have read good reports on the Google OnHub router as well as others in its price range.

Trying to figure out a Better solution to the problem. Router Configuration or Different Router or extender/booster?

Verify that your Asus and the Cisco are on different channels. If they use the phone option off the Cisco it is difficult to replace it. They could disable the WIFI and do just what you are doing, use and Asus in AP mode.

ok was able to change the channel on my Asus Router after Googling it & got YouTube video on how to do it
