You either typed the wrong date range for the case rebate or it's already expired. I've never used an IBuyPower PC before nor do I personally know of anyone that has one.. so I can't say for sure whether or not they have good computers. My best advice is to tell you to FIRST go online and read the reviews for that computer from other users to get a feeling.

Another thing.. that computer comes with Windows 8.1, so you can upgrade to Windows 10... but you have to sometimes be careful because the drivers CD that comes with the computer probably won't work after you upgrade to Windows 10... so if you ever need or want to do a clean install.. you'll have extra work downloading all the motherboard drivers.

One last thing... if you're able to build or put together a system yourself... I'd recommend you do that instead of buying an OEM computer. You would get a much better warranty (3 years or even lifetime) for some components.. and some of the items it comes with... seem to be generic or no-brand... I would feel better knowing or being familiar with each part in my computer.

How so? For an exact same build on pcpartpicker total comes out to just bout $1300 (not including shipping, OS, and time it takes to put everything together). All i have to do is swap out the RAM and PSU.

Yeah i tried looking up reviews for the base comp which is an Asus G10 but not too much in English. I really do like the look of the case though and since majority of the insides are custom picked i pretty much just chose the Asus for the case. I missed the MIR for the case but no biggie :)

The only two parts that i'm not too sure about would be the RAM and PSU but i plan to swap those out. I was going to build but given this price it comes out way cheaper to buy this PC for the parts and swap out what i don't like.

Good point with Windows compatibility. I wanted 7 but they didn't offer it with this pc for some reason so i got stuck with 8 but will probably upgrade to 10. I'll have to research compatibility issues with this mobo but figure i can just download up to date drivers from Asus. Plus if i built it and had to install windows or upgrade windows and reinstall drivers either way would be extra work.

Thanks for all the quick replies guys. I will keep everything in mind when i receive my PC and appreciate all of your knowledge and input. I did do some research before hand but most of the reviews were on specifically on ibuypower PC's but this PC is actually an ASUS G10 (which ibuypower is partners with) so it was hard to find any reviews on ASUS comps that were in english. Kind of crossing my fingers on this one since i know the custom parts in the PC will be from ibuypower but i couldn't pass on the price.

-No SSD
-No Crossfire or SLI Support
-Low PSU (Need room to upgrade for Crossfire)
-Cheap Case

The SSD thing is pretty much a wash since you don't have a HDD in the ibuypower
The PSU is also a wash since you have to buy a new one for the ibuypower anyway
The Asus G10AC case is not of better build quality
Your ibuypower motherboard also does not have crossfire support

That liquid cooler is a waste of $40
That thermal paste is a waste of $8
That motherboard does not support SLI
That build only has 256GB of storage.
That video card is not near as good as the 970
That psu is terrible.
That case is better for sure

So that is an extremely inferior build for a lot more money.

+1. Huge increase in performance over iBuyCrap and money spent where it should be.

One thing I wanted to point out that you overlooked... You said it would cost the same if you built it yourself... BUT, you also said you were planning on swapping out the RAM and PSU if you bought this system, right? Did you factor in the costs of those components? If not, you would need to add about $150-200 extra to your preliminary estimates. However, if you do build it yourself you would have bought the RAM and PSU that you wanted anyway...

Don't even consider iBUYPOWER. Their PSU are literally explosives.

Not to mention that for $14, you're getting higher performance from the GPU and motherboard, and higher quality from case and PSU. And I threw in a much better keyboard to match the offer.
