Both mice use the Avago 3050 sensor which is a decent optical sensor for a gaming mouse.

Sorry I don't recall which other mice or monitor you are referring to. I've replied to a lot of threads today. But yes those optical sensors are very decent and have no acceleration issues. I can't comment on anything else about them though (software, functionality, etc).
