AMD FX 6300 paired with Cooler master Hyper tx3 fan

I just build my first computer ever today and am wondering why my cpu fan is running at 100% speed always. My cpu went up to about 45 celcius during gaming, the fan is really loud. Should I go into the bios and set it lower?

That cooler is not even close match for FX6300 even at stock speeds.

No, not adequate at all. It might be even downgrade from stock cooler. You need a cooler with at least 4 pipes and 120mm fan.

You should also look at your windows, it's not normal to run at 100% all the time, maybe a virus or some other malware. Right now my 6350 with browser with 5-6 tabs open, watching TV on it and 5 or six other programs open, use barely few percent of each core. Task manager shows only 8-10% of whole processor at most.

I disagree - the tx3 can manage a stock 6300 easily.
Its not a great cooler but still better than the stock and one.

Its a known issue on that board when running win 8 or win 10 with fast boot enabled.

What operating system are you running??

I'm out if the house at the minute but will post a solution on my return home.

You will need to drop into bios & change a couple of settings.
