I went over to amazon to buy me some kingston HyperX Fury (2x4) 1600Mhz Ddr3 CL10 DIMM (HX316C10FRK2/8) memory. After installing the ram my computer started up fine. I was overjoyed just due to the last memories fail to boot. After a bit more looking into my computer I found that my task manager recognized 8Gb but was limited to 3.44Gb. I looked around the internet to try to find a solution. The first was telling me to go to msconfig and make sure there wasn’t a limit on Cpu or memory. I made sure both boxes were unchecked as they have always been. I looked a little further to find that one person recommended I make sure memory remap was enabled, problem being that I was unable to find this option on my Msi bios American megatrends Inc. V30.18B1. I also noticed that my bios only recognizes a little over 4Gb. If anyone can help me find memory remap or any other solution I will be grateful.

try swapping the slots and reseating your ram. make sure its pressed all the way down and both locks on each side are engaged. make sure the slots are clean of debris. then please download Memtest86 and run this. this will tell you if you have a faulty ram stick.

You can also take 1 out and keep 1 in, boot, if it boots your okay with that one, remove it place the other one in and try to boot.

Well he may never ckme back and read this. Try helping people that don't reply.

If you want our help please try booting with only 1 ram stick, if it works, remove that 1 and boot with the other ram stick, if it works boot with both and run memtest86.

Make sure your ram is not above 1.65v

Also Reseat your ram, clean the contacts with a qtip, use an pc duster to blow out any debris in the ram slots. Make sure after the ram is installed both locks on the end are down and snapped to ensure a solid connection
