Will my motherboard support 1600mhz ram?

I have a dl h61mxel motherboad.i want to know if it supports a 1600mhz ram? Thanks in advance

Your mobo will support 1600MHZ with (IVB) Ivy Bridging, if you have a Ivy Bridge processor then you are good to go, if not max is 1333MHZ. Mobo Specs

If I get a 1600mhz ram with a sandy bridge processor.my ram's speed will automatically go down to 1333mhz.

Yes it will automatically downclock your ram, I recommend getting 1333mhz ram with very tight timights and a low (CAS) for best results.
