Should i keep the same drivers on a Radeon HD7870 - R9 380/390 transition?

I have an AMD Radeon HD 7870 GPU and i am thinking of upgrading it and buying either a R9 380 or R9 390 video card. Technicaly on AMD's website, if you choose to download drivers for any of those 3 mentioned cards ( 7870, 380 and 390) it looks like it gives you the same file to download and in the category of "supported products" it includes them all.
So my question is: when i buy and place my new R380/390 card on my computer, is it necessary to reinstall the drivers or should i just leave them like that and my card will work normally without issues?

Solution
It will work (windows will automatically detect the card and install the right drivers, you may need to restart a couple if times) but it's always best to completely uninstall the drivers before installing the new card, then reinstall them once you have the new card in.

Same drivers will work , even swapping an amd card out for another , it will force you to reinstall drivers again though as the card will show as a generic VGA adapter.

You don't have to uninstall drivers before though , just swap cards , boot & run the catalyst installation once .
