Ok I did somethign really stupid. It's really my fault.
I deleted all my fotos/videos that I had on my external disk a few days ago. I did nothing other than that.
So now these files are lost.
Don't ask my why I did it, just tell me if there is a way to recover my data please!
Do I have to go to a data recover agency and pay several hundrets of dollars or is there another way?

I would be so thankful!

actually I am a bit scared of using any program that tries to "recover" lost datas. Maybe these program will totally overwrite everything and not even professionals can recover my datas anymore after using the programs....

ok, do these programs write on my External Disk? because I don't want they write anything on it. Better they only write on my windows disk. SO that they cannot do more damage to my disk.

That is their function....to try to recover deleted data. If, in the process, they were to overwrite it..they wouldn't be much good, would they?

No I want the program to write to my Windows Disk ONLY.

Exactly. Try it. See what happens.
Or don't.

They work, mostly. Results are NOT guaranteed, but they generally work.
And recovering photo/video is especially hard. A single scrambled bit in a text file is trivial. A single scrambled bit in a picture file may render it completely unusable.

I have used Recuva loads of times and never had a problem with it. Therefore, I can 100% say that it will work for you. The only things I would add are:

1. Don't write anything to the the disk you deleted from until you recover your files.

2. Use an external drive to save the files once they are recovered as this will reduce the chance that any files are lost.
