With new games coming out which require a more beastly PC I thought it would be a good time to upgrade. The trouble is I have an integrated graphics and I don't want to spend £300 on a GPU if I can't use it. I have looked at how to install a new GPU but its never to do with changing from a integrated to a GPU. Can you tell me how to install a GPU which I can use rather than my integrated?:)

Plug the card into your first PCI-E x16 slot
Unplug your monitor cable from the motherboard's port
Plug your monitor cable into your new GPU card port .

Now some monitors auto disables integrated GPU when a GPU card is detected in PCI-E slot , but some don't
Go into your motherboard bios and disable integrated GPU if your motherboard didn't auto switch .
