Hi,
I usually play relatively old games, when they're on a significant sale.
I have placed an order on a 4K TV yesterday, which supports 4K @ 60hz @ chrome 4:2:2.
The reason I mention the chroma support is because the GTX 680 doesn't have an HDMI 2.0 out, which is the only way to output 4K @ 60hz to this TV. It doesn't have a DisplayPort.
However, the GTX 680 4GB has a DisplayPort out, and there's an adapter that converts DisplayPort to HDMI with support for up to 4K @ 60hz @ 4:2:2 (not 4:4:4). That's exactly what my TV needs.
So, that in my opinion negates the need to get an HDMI 2.0 equipped GPU (GTX 950 or better).
That opens up a lot of options in the used market, and I found a good deal on a 4GB 680 card.
Question is, how well will it run games at 4K? I looked at a benchmark of VRAM use which shows that, at 4K, most games take around 2-3 GB VRAM, and some like GTA V actually use 4.3 GB, so I'll have to settle in the texture department.
But VRAM isn't everything of course, and it's hard to find reviews about older cards in regards to 4K gaming.
My CPU is an i5 4570S. 8GB RAM.
Here's a link for the games I currently have installed on Steam, for reference:

Thank you!
