Hi. I had planned to replace an old CPU cooler that came with my Intel Q6600 CPU. The PC case is an Antec P182, and unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a cpu cooler cutout in this case. Are there any coolers that can be installed in this case that don't require me to remove my Asus PK5 deluxe motherboard?

There are plenty of coolers that will work on your system have you went to www.newegg.com??? I have seen a good amount of coolers there that will support the 775 socket. No sure what you mean cut out or installed in the case because usually there is a push pin or screw type cooler installed on the 775 sockets.

I'm aware that there are many coolers that will fit the 775 socket. My question was whether there were any coolers that I could install in my PC which would not require me to remove the motherboard from the case to install support hardware for the replacement cooler. My case does not have a cutout where I can access the back of the motherboard.

Has nothing to do with the motherboard or cooler. The stock cooler is the only pushpin style.. What it has to do with is the back side of the motherboard in your case. Directly behind the cpu area is usually a cutout in the frame itself, quite evident if you remove the right side panel. This is where you will be able to slide the new cpu cooler back plate into. Some cutouts are larger and make this easy, some are rather small which makes it a pain in the ash. According to the coolers directions, you setup the bolts or nuts to match your cpu, as in lga1150 or am3+ etc. I usually fold up a chunk of cardboard to fit, duct tape it over the hole then lay the pc on its side, so the motherboard is facing up and the backplate doesn't fall or move. Then install the cooler, remove the cardboard, and you are done.

The only time it's necessary to remove the motherboard itself is if there is no cutout or if it's physically beyond ability to install the cooler properly without damage.

Unfortunately, my case did not come with a cutout which would have permitted access to the back of the motherboard. But I did, in fact, find a non stock push pin cpu cooler. The model is the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 - CPU Cooler. There was a newer variant that I also saw in a review, but was not offered at the time by Newegg Canada. I was able to successfully install this cooler without removing the motherboard from the case.
