Dear Friends?
I was looking out for some cheap graphic cards and one of my friend recommended nvidia geforce gt 730, i dont know if it will be fully compatible with my PC as I have an Old Computer, i know i need to upgrade but I will do it when my Son returns, anyways
My PC Specs :
Motherboard : Maxtone Max G31(CPU1)
CPU : Intel Pentium E5200 @2.5 GHZ
RAM : 3 GB DDR2 - 332 MHZ
Graphics : Intel G31/G33 Express Chipset.

So is the graphic card compatible or should i opt for some other graphic card? Please let me know which graphic card would be suitable for my PC under 100 dollars. Thanks

Solution
GT 730 is an uber-low power consumption card and can even work from a potato.

It depends on what you want to do, but for such a bad CPU, GT 730 and maybe the R7 250 will be the two best choices if you want to play some games. As I said GT 730 will work on a potato. R7 250 consumes more than twice the power and is more powerful (will be bottlenecked by the CPU) so it is better to know your PSU before upgrading to that card. GT 730 still gets support and is a nice, cool, plug n' play card thus your friend recommended it to you - best for your situation.

About 18 months ago I put an R7 250 in my old HP, which also has an E5200 CPU. Really that card is too powerful for the CPU and as a result it's being wasted by not reaching it's full potential. As the GT 730 is a bit lower in performance, it's probably the perfect match. Also it consumes so little electricity that it really wouldn't matter what PSU you have, it would be fine.
As for compatibility, it should work. I have heard stories of modern cards sometimes not working in older machines, it usually comes down to an incompatible BIOS or simply the manufacture didn't make it compatible with the old Gen 1.0 PCIe. However on a low end card I don't think that would be the case, I've had no problems with a modern card in an old machine.

Thanks for the Prompt reply Guys...
I have a PSU of 500 W, so do you think that GPU should work fine or should i opt for some other GPU as recommended by Forever Oleg. I am sorry.. I am really naive when comes to technical stuffs.

GT 730 will be your best bet. It is the matter with your CPU bottle-necking if you go with with a more powerful GPU.
