After installing this drive I found 2G and 3.6G unallocated partitions. I've assigned a label to the 2G but am unable to the 3.6G. How do I use the unallocated 3.6G of the disc?
I am running Win7.

Solution
then you'll have to delete the 2 TB partition - iirc, right clik over the active partition and select "delete volume"

then you'll be able to select GPT, and then you'll have full access to the entire disk volume

btw, when you delete that volume or partition, you'll loose all data from it so be sure to copy to another drive

The first 2G was initialized MBR. Right clicking on the second partition, New Simple Volume is not an option.

there's your problem - go into disk management, in the grey box to the left of the long rectangular box where the drive's volumes are listed, right clik and select "GPT" - a MBR partitioned disk will not recognize more than 2 TB

again, to be clear, i'm not talking about right clikking on the partition, but the entire disk

Right clicking over that grey box, I see "Convert to GPT disk" but it is not an option (grey). I don't see it when I try to format.
