I am looking to build a gaming PC to take to the accommodation in which i will be living in for university 2016 year. I will be using the system mainly for gaming, a little bit of editing on the side as well as completing university work and etc. I am stuck between two systems:

1-
AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor
Zalman CNPS5X Performa CPU Cooler
Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Mushkin Chronos 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
PowerColor Radeon R9 270X 2GB TurboDuo Video Card
Corsair SPEC-01 RED ATX Mid Tower Case
Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer
Intel 7260HMWDTX1 802.11a/b/g/n/ac PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter
BenQ GL2450HM 60Hz 24.0" Monitor
A4Tech G800V Wired Gaming Keyboard
£468.87

2-
AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
MSI 970 GAMING ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Fury Red 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card
Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case
Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer
Microsoft Windows 8.1 OEM (64-bit)
TP-Link TL-WDN4800 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter
Asus VX238H 23.0" Monitor
Cooler Master CM Storm Devastator Gaming Bundle Wired Gaming Keyboard w/Optical Mouse
£996.89

If either of these systems are not suitable for me, please recommned me a better system for which i could use for gaming, at least max out games at high settings. Max ultra settings on some games such as COD and FIFA and etc.

But is it worth the price? And also would you upgrade and parts such as the monitor, motherboard and etc.

In my currency, #2 is $1,499.21. No, that is not worth it.
#1 is closer to being worth its price. But that wasn't the question you initially asked.
