I need to update my bios? (new CPU)

Hi, i purchased a i5 4590 @3.2GHz and a Z97 MATE 1150 board, but idk if i need to update the bios to use with my cpu or not

because i dont have any other 1150 cpu to update...

PD: Sorry for my english, im from Chile, thanks

PD2: CPU and MB arrives in the next 2 days.

Hello deewfrank,

No, you shouldn't need to update the BIOS on the Z97 to install and use the new CPU.

Very good CPU, passable motherboard. I'm not crazy about MSI motherboards, but the Z97 MATE has gotten very solid reviews and should be a fine pair with the i5-4590 (especially if you got it at a good price

).
