So I'm currently about to purchase all the parts for the PC I'm about to build. My heart is set on the following parts:

GPU: MSI R9 390
CPU: i5-4690 (non k-edition)
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X 8GB
Case: NZXT S340

But after loads of research, I still can't decide on what motherboard I should go for. I was currently leaning towards the ASrock H97m Pro4,for being very affordable (currently on sale at Newegg for only $59.99), but the reviews for it seem to be pretty mixed. In fact, almost every motherboard I look at has very mixed reviews with many people having issues with them. I would like to spend as little money as possible, but if it's really necessary to spend the extra money to have a reliable motherboard, then I would be happy to spare what it takes to ensure the best results.

As far as a power supply goes, I was originally planning on getting a Corsair CX750, but after reading countless times that they are unreliable and low quality, I did some research and am now trying to decide between the Corsair RM750X, the XFX Pro850w Black Edition, and the EVGA Supernova G2 750w. My question is, are any of them much better, or worse, than the others? Or would I be fine just buying any of them? I chose these three because they are all highly rated and considered "tier one" on the PSU tier list.

I know this is a lot of stuff, but any questions answered or advice that can be given will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Most people write reviews when they have a gripe. If it works as it should they don't think about it. If there are boards that consistently prove to be bad, word gets around here fast and we steer people clear of them. The H97 is the board to get for the 4690 and if you stick to the 4 major board makers (Asus, Gigabyte, AsRock and MSI) you should be ok. Just verify it has the features you want/need. As far as a PSU goes, the EVGA G2 is top dog.

Thanks for the quick response. It looks like the ASrock h97m Pro4 is the one to get for that price. Unless I find out anything new in the meantime, I'll be placing my orders by the end of the day.
