I have this gateway 505GR that I want to restore. It had a graphics card in it at one point in time, however, I didn't have a cable for it, so I traded it with one a friend had. He wont give it back, or tell me what it was now, and countless hours of searching is getting me no where. Can someone help me identify what it was? Here's what I believe it looked like, it had three connectors, a yellow RCA, s-video, and a DVI. I believe it had a white shroud that covered most of the card, and either had 256mb or 512mb vram. it was a single slot card, from around the 2004/2005 era, maybe later. The stock 305 watt power supply with a white connector was able to power it. I believe it also was nvidia, but things arent matching up so maybe its ati, but im not sure.

ATI all in wonder very likely. I remember those cards, they were a video card and Tv tuner in one and had all those connections. They came...

It wasn't a tv tuner, it had DVI SVideo and RCA yellow, and that was it for connectors, and i feel you, that's why I posted it on here, because I can't find anything about it either. But if anyone knows of a tv tuner that only has those connectors, that will help. It doesn't help that gateway removed all support for the system, not even a legacy page, nothing.

i hit reply and it chose it as the best solution.... what the heck?! anyways, the system seems to not like AMD/ATI cards, both a 5000 series and a 6850 were incompatible, but they might have just been too new. However thats what i might do if i cant find the original card

Why does it keep selecting things as the best solution whenever i go to reply to someone? am i hitting a wrong button or something? anyway, I know the 6870 is way too powerful for the 305 watt, i had a cx600 that I stuck in there to test the card for a second, but I guess I'll have to choose a card from the era because I'm not having any luck, thank you anyways!! I'll go with your suggestion, if that is the best card for the era, although I had the 9800GT work in it, I want to have the computer have all the parts available to it at the time of release or the following year

ATI all in wonder very likely. I remember those cards, they were a video card and Tv tuner in one and had all those connections. They came standard in some OEM systems especially those using XP Media Center.

The S-video connection was likely not S-video but a connector that looked like it but was for a break-out connection like in the second pic
