i have looked at a pc for £500. i think the specs are reasonable but i want to know if it could run some newer game (gta v, black ops 3 ect.). also will it run older games well

specs
8gb ram
1tb hard drive
gigbyte 78lmt-usb3 motherboard
zotac geforce gtx 960 2gb gddr5
amd fx6350 six core cpu 3.8ghz
windows 7

is this any good and the graphics card states it can be overclocked. would this increase gaming performance.

I think your just fine with the current specs, I've got fx6300 with gtx 760 and it runs most games fine including gta v. Your graphics card is faster whilst it also overclocks really well, which definitely improves performance. You should just set a right balance of settings in games like reduce on shadows(I personally don't notice that much when gaming) and other settings which you don't really need

Without a really huge monitor or multi-monitor setup that's not a bad system at all. 6 cores do well in DX12 tests. Is that a WD Blue HDD? If so, they're pretty good. Fast for a hard drive, and fairly reputable. Quiet and work.

Yeah it's not a bad system at all if you're playing at a resolution of 1920x1080. Should run anything current and for the next year I'd think. I'm not sure about pricing in the UK though. Here I can probably build a similar system for just a bit less but that video card raises the price a bit so I think it's probably on par with current prices there.
