Hi! I'm a newbie with building PCs, but was very surprised on how much I can save if I build one myself. I'm looking to spend around $1,000, give or take about $100. I looked online, and found this video by Austin Evans on Youtube. The build is about 1 year old, so I'm not sure if there are anyways I could make it better. Here are the specs. Also, I'm somewhat worried about building one myself. Should I get someone in my city to do it for me?

Intel Core i5-4460
EVGA GTX 970
MSI H97 Guard Pro
8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM
256GB Crucial MX100 SSD
1TB Western Digital Blue Hard Drive
600W Corsair CX600 Power Suppl
NZXT S340 Case

build it yourself. there are plenty of step by step videos. newegg has a 3 or 4 part series on start to finish putting all the components in.

Build it yourself! I think it's part of the experience. You will be proud when you succeeded and with all the youtube videos which help you, you can't do that much wrong. Also it's handy to know what is going on in your pc.
