I was trying to upgrade my rig by adding more memory so i purchased 2*8gb ddr3 ram sticks but the system cant boot and when i power it up i hear fast short beeps.

The specs on Gigabytes page say "4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory" I would interpret that to mean 4 x 4GB. 8GB sticks won't work.

Its a good thing the retailer offered to exchange them in case they didn't work. what brand would you recommend for a 4*4.
