Sure you can, it's similar to what I'm doing with my reconstruction/customization project (with one HDD less). None of those use a great amount of power - I'd personally go up to 6 drives from one PSU header if warranted

I make my own from scratch. Well, scratch as in wire, connectors, paracord... I hate dealing with cables that are too long so I found it easier (and, IMO, nicer) to make my own to length
Thanks again! I feel almost silly about putting much thought into cable routing/ length/ design in that my box is window-less. I would however 'know' that I could have done better. Too funny and I imagine you know the feeling. Do you have a favorite source of connectors, crimpers etc ? The paracord I would guess serves a sleeve ?

Currently I'm using the following tools/equipment
ModDIY Professional Crimping Tool (my review of the product is there)
Alpha Wire 6715 Hookup Wire (18AWG) I use white color wire since light color paracord allows colored wires to be visible (a little)
Connectors and pins through FrozenCPU or ModDIY
ParacordPlanet for #425 or #550 paracord for sleeving (either works with the wire I use - #425 may not work with some 18AWG wire with thicker insulation) - they have a huge selection of colors/patterns
Klein Tools 11063W 8-22 AWG Katapult Wire Stripper Helps me keep accurate stripping length - it's somewhat important IMO
For removal tools, I originally used this kit Mod/Smart Full Pin Removal Tool Kit but found the mini-fit extractor to be less than expected and ended up getting the Mini Fit Pin Extraction Tool (which is quite nice IMO but pricey)
Last might be Cable Combs which help keep the whole thing tidy
I think I got everything, oh, I also use a Bic lighter for the paracord but I don't think I need to link one of those

Thanks for the comprehensive response. I'm nearly moved to give a go. *Only* thing holding me back would be need for tools that I'd likely only use a handful of times (read once). That said, I see that ModDIY (referenced above) will make custom cables. Think I'll shoot them a quick line and ask for a quote. If that comes in higher than the cost of those tools then I'll go full-on DIY. Thanks again C12..
