OK so I recently bought some new ram from ebay. its a Ballistix 8gb stick. whenever i put it in my pc with or without my current ram my pc is either in an infinite reboot cycle or I get the BSOD depending on which slot its in.....ive had it tested multiple times and the ram is fine. it reads in my bios and this happens whenever i try new ram. im curious if its my motherboard....ill leave my specs below

CPU: Intel Core i5 650 dual core @3.20GHz
GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 960 2gb GDDR5
Mem: 4gb DDR3 two 1gb sticks and a 2gb stick
Motherboard: Intel DQ57TM

Solution
Yes, the part number is BLS8G3D1609DS1S00.16FER, thank you!

Unfortunately, this module is not compatible, probably because the module uses higher density memory chips (4 Gb) which is not supported by the CPU (i5-650). This CPU supports up to 2 Gb memory chip density, and no higher.

If wanting 8 GB system memory, then suggest using 2 x 4 GB dual channel kit.

Here is a list of compatible Crucial memory for the Intel DQ57TM motherboard (with the i5-650 CPU).
