problem cooling an amd fx9590

After buying a pc from cyberpowerpc, it was locking up when playing games. I sent it back they said there was no issue. I had them install a asetek 550lc it helped some but I still had the same problem of locking up when playing games. I have removed the cooling block and reinstalled with new paste. i added corsair fans in a push pull on the radiator as well as the intake and output on the case.

right now with just this open the cpu os 41 c, when gaming the temp keeps going up, the alarm is set for 60 c.

my configuration is as follows
fx-9590 with a aestek 550lc ( corsair fans in push pull)
adata xpg v3 16 gig ram with corsair cooler
giabyte ga-990fxa-ud3 2x radion r9 280
2x 1tb hard drives with vigor isurf II coolers
supernova nex750b power supply
in a coolernaster n600 case

I added 2 140mm discharge fans to the top of the case as well as 2 120mm fans one intake at the front and one discharge at the upper back

I was thinking of adding a reservoir with a pump to the closed loop of the cpu cooler to increase the flow and amount of coolant. Hi, 60 degrees is a perfectly safe temperature for a CPU/ The only time you need to be worried is when its 80 and above. The cpu isnt whats causing your issues. What is the highest temperature u have seen it go up to?

The 9590 is extremely hot compared to other cpu's. It will likely begin throttling around 60-65c to try and keep temps down. That water cooler is only a single radiator design so may very well not be enough to keep that cpu cool. A better option would be a dual fan radiator like an h100i or similar.

Adding a reservoir and pump aren't really going to help and will just void the cooler warranty when you cut the lines open. A reservoir can be useful but isn't necessary. It might make a difference from a cold start but once the coolant heats up it's up to the radiator size/surface area and fans to get rid of the heat from the coolant.

Ohh, ok. I understand. I agree, an AIO cooler like a H100i or H110I will do the job.

I have a double radiator now with 4 fans on it for push pull air flow. What should I set the alarm at?

I am running the gigabyte easy tune 6 app. and have the alarm set at 62c it will start to shout at me when I am in game, and again if I keep playing it may lock up and require a restart. what tep is safe and what should I set the alarm at?
