Hello, in a few weeks I want to upgrade to Skylake (i5-6600K) from Kaveri (A6-7400K).
Please note I will be using my two sticks of Patriot Signature DDR3 1600Mhz RAM (2x4GB).
My two options are the ASRock Z170 Pro4/D3 and the Asus Z170-P D3. What are all the differences and what would you recommend? I am looking towards the ASRock board for the extra SATA since I have 3 drives and I'm not sure if I'll want any more. I also couldn't care less about their looks. Thank you.

I looked at compatibility list of both of them but the Patriot Signature series are not supported on both mainboards:

That's funny because my brother just got the ASRock board and borrowed 4GB of my RAM for a week until his 1.35V DDR3 arrived and it worked fine.
