Will I see any performance gains going from 8GB 1333mhz to 16GB 2400mhz? Thanks

I would say yes, but it really depends what all you'd be doing. Gaming really only needs 8GB though 1333 is on the lower side of things, but 16GB is more than you'd really need right now and at a higher speed that your needs. The general suggestion for DDR3 is 8GB (two sticks of 4 if your motherboard supports dual channel) at 1600mhz and a CAS 9 or less. Obviously you can go with any number of choices and personally between your two choices, I would go with the 16GB so I don't have to buy more down the road, but also because I do other things that DO use more RAM.
