My PC isn't recognizing my HDD

I have a SSD and a HDD installed in my PC build (http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Sionisis/saved/2xjMnQ) and the HDD is reconized in the BIOS. When I pull BIOS up it shows my DVD drive in SATA slot 1, my SSD in slot 2 (That's where I have my OS installed), and my 1 TB HDD in slot 3. The problem is windows isn't showing that I have a HDD installed so I can't save any movies/games etc. to it.

If anyone has an idea of how I can access my drive I'd really appreciate it. My SSD is getting full of stuff that I'd rather move over to the HDD.

Thanks guys

New Simple Volume is what you want.
Then give it a drive letter.

Is the 1TB drive new? If so, you might need to format the HDD drive in order to use it.

1) Right click the start button on your desktop and pull up 'Disk Management'
2) Look for the 1TB drive, it might be un-initialized or not formated
3) If it says 'uninitialized', right click the drive and choose 'initialize
4) After that, you can right click the drive again and choose to format it

After the format you should see the drive show up under 'My Computer' and be able to use it for storage.

Example of what a drive in Disk Management should look like:

Windows should really have a more automated process of getting this to work. For people who know this needs to happen, it is simple, but for those who have not done it before, there is no way to know that the drive just needs to be formatted. Windows should have a message pop-up saying "new drive detected, would you like to format this new drive?" You should not have to have tribal knowledge to install a new hard drive IMO

So it's showing Disk 0 which looks like my SSD because it has the system reserved partition and matches its 250 GB size. Then there's Disk 1 which is my 1TB HDD and it says Online. However it says its data is unallocated, and isn't showing a drive letter.
(For instance my SSD is C:, but there is no folder kinda thing for my HDD to be accessed)

I can do a new simple volume. New striped and new spanned are greyed out. I can also convert to a GPT or a Dynamic Disk. I don't know what any of those things are.

Okay last question. Now that I've got it up and running, can I start moving games and other files to it from my SSD or will that mess things up?

Create a new folder on the other drive. Call it whatever you wish - MyGames, for instance.
You can set that as the default location.
