GPU crashed and black screen with driver....is my gpu dead?

i was playing game (rocket league) and my pc crashed on me. i rebooted my computer but after windows logo the screen goes black. i took out the gpu and started using my on board graphic and i can use my pc without problem. without the gpu driver installed my screen looks like this
is is dead? i have AMD r9 270

ya i tried getting the drivers but it just ended up with black screen. lucky for me, i have warranty left so i rma it.
