Hello Sir,

First of all
My PC Specifications
I have a Optiplex 745 Desktop DT
6GB RAM (Hynix 2GB x 3)
280 Watt Power Supply
COPPER HEAT SINK
500GB HDD Seagate Barracuda+250GB HDD Seagate Pipeline
Intel(R) TM(2) CPU E6600 2.40 GHz 1066FSB
Bios Version 2.6.6
NVIDIA GeForce GT 210 1GB DDR3 LP

I have researched in the google abit about the Graphics card that I may be able use into my computer.

I have read about Radeon HD 5670, Radeon HD 5450, HD 7750, HD 6670 will run in my system. With backward compatibility to PCI x16 1.0. But If incase I could suffer compatibility issues with the high end games....with one of these graphic cards and I dont want to run into risk. There may be incompatibility of game that would not run due to its requirement like Direct X 12 etc.

That is why I have continued my search, got recommendations from toms hardware.
Recommended GeForce GTS 450, GT 740, GT 430 etc, will run into my computer system. They have got good user reviews in E-Commerce websites.

Apart from this, I have researched again and found some body are using GTX 750Ti 2GB DDR5 in their Dell Optiplex 745 DT. They have no problems.
It has less power consumption, low PSU power required, high performance, backward compatibility.

My question is

Can this one go safely into my computer without any problems?

Will it fit into my computer for sure?

Is it backward compatible to 1.0?

Will it run high end games in my computer?

Is it available in Low Profile?

Reviews say GeForce GTX 750 Ti 1GB or 2GB. Doesnt require additional power source, and its a single slot. I want to play best games Far Cry 4, COD MW3, GTA5, Borderlands 2, Black Ops 2 and upcoming games etc.,
It is priced at approx.Rs.9750/- and I will try to afford it under your recommendations.

Toms hardware experts recommended me to upgrade my CPU(to Q6600) also... I will do it soon in the coming days when I am close to buy a best of best graphics card.

Thanks in advance.

Few things wrong here.
1) If you are looking for AAA titles with good framerate, you might just want an entire system makeover.
2) That CPU has had history AGAINST AMD cards, so bad performance is my guess
3) That PSU would need to be upgraded TO BE SAFE
4) 6gb of RAM should be just enough, but 8gb is a very safe bet.
I AM NO EXPERT, JUST GIVING MY INPUT

Thank You Brother,

There is no option that I can change to a better PSU. Its case is a thin case and no chance to insert a PSU other than what the manufacturer has put in it.

May be the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 may get GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB GPU work, or else I can shift to GT 740 low profile either. Many of the reviews say it (GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB) is working with a Optiplex 745 Small Form Factor which has approx 240 watt PSU without any problems.

Waiting for your turn

The reviews are probably closer to correct than my input, they have experience with the card, I do not, and I do not have experience in small form factors or low profile. That CPU would be a good upgrade, but to get real big performance improvements, OC it. If you could link the reviews that would be great, but so far, the 750ti with that CPU would be fine.

OK Brother I will upgrade to Q6600 and I will buy the GTX 750 Ti Low Lrofile if its available.
But I also require a expert confirming these things, then I can spend money on these without hesitation. This is because in order to not run into risks.

Thank You bro.

Your system may not be stable with that CPU and video card upgrade without a different power supply. You said something about people running a 750 Ti on a 240 watt power supply, while it may run in some cases, I would not risk a computer I own or tell anyone I know to do that with that configuration. It would have to be a low power CPU and possibly no optical drive in the box.
