EVGA GtX 980 Ti 6GB has a slightly better price right now the MSI GTX 980 Ti has a slightly higher clock. Any of the aftermarket gaming 980 ti's in the $640-$660 price range are going to be extremely similar. It's going to come down to the extras like silent operation, leds, colors, etc that are really going to sell it, in my opinion. If you're not talking 4K gaming right now, which with a 980 Ti is reasonable to run some games, it's only going to be a matter of 230 as opposed to 240 fps and at that rate, who cares? Now if you're talking about 4K gaming, you're going to start taking a crap shoot at which card is going to overclock better, and then it gets into the conversation of cooling, airflow, etc. If you're not comfortable...

I think your misundarstanding--"What I have" = existing components. The link provided goes to the potential build. As stated in my comments, I also think the ssd needs replacing. Pls provide examples.

OK, you said "SATA, Power Source and Case are existing components "
I assumed everything else was going to be new.

Anyway, for the SSD:
Samsung 850 EVO, Crucial MX200, SanDisk Ultra II.

Budget: under $2500.00 for new parts (subtract cost of case and power source if kept). Is the samsung 950 pro overkill for ssd? What are ppls thoughts on my choice of moba, card and cpu?

Cyber Monday Sale for SSD: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sandisk-ultra-ii-480gb-internal-sata-solid-state-drive-black/1160024.p?id=1219473300661&ref=199&loc=Cty0dj6o3sg&acampID=1&siteID=Cty0dj6o3sg-wvdw9gnvD.mGofCC.wiNfw
Do that, ASAP.

I might also change up the CPU heatsink option, for $100, I'd just opt for a corsair h100 and liquid cool the CPU. It'll give you more headroom in overclocking and help keep your internal temps down as most of the graphics card are going to be internally exhausting into the case.

Andy: why that gpu? The one i picked is the same price (check cad prices) and i need a reason to switch after doing some research. Same for moba. Can your you school me in your reasoning? I don't think i need to buy a bew power source for the 100w, but i could be wrong.

Affinity: why that one? I have 2TB by WD. I was looking for a preformance driven ssd for OS and certain programs (games).

If you are, then it's really just going to come out to winning the silicon lottery.

I just picked the cheapest gtx 980 TI, and the cheapest Asus motherboard that supported SLI(For future expansion if you want)

There is no reason to spend on a "Gaming" motherboard really. It's just about features. Does it have all the USB/Sata/M.2 you want? 2 pci-e slots for SLI/Crossfire?

Like I said before I would wait to buy a graphics card, or order it from the States if you can. The price drop has only taken effect in the States. Paying the conversion price is probably cheaper than getting it in Canada.
