Hello everybody!
I just bought a used drive and when i plugged it in to my machine it doesn't show up as a HDD.

I have checked the BIOS, and neither in the boot options or the SATA configuration on my ASUS M5A97 r2.0 does the disk show up, AT ALL! But when I get into windows it shows as a BD-ROM Unit.

It's going to be my secondary hdd for mass storage but still, I spent money on it and it doesn't work.. :(

Welcome to the community, ToxicDada!

First, I'd suggest you to try resolving the issue by resetting BIOS using one of the methods listed here: http://www.wikihow.com/Reset-Your-BIOS
This will get your BIOS settings back to factory defaults, so you'd need to reconfigure them afterwards.
I'd also recommend you to go to your motherboard manufacturer's website and check if you have updated to the latest SATA controller/chipset drivers from there. While at it, I'd also check if you have the latest BIOS firmware update for your mobo model, because you might need to flash it.
Have you also checked Disk Management and how your 2 TB HDD appears there?

Keep me posted. Hope this helps. :)
