Hello people!

I currently have a Gigabyte 78LMT-S2P motherboard, and I am looking to upgrade my CPU. I currently have a AMD FX 4100 and I am looking to invest in a AMD FX 8350. I was just wondering if I am going to need to upgrade my motherboard for this new CPU, because the CPU is an AM3+ socket which will fit my current motherboard, I'm a computer noob, so please let me know haha.

There are three different revisions of that motherboard:
rev. 5.x
rev. 3.1
rev. 4.0

No support for CPUs with TDP (Thermal Design Power) over 95 watts. The FX-8350 has a TDP of 125 watts.

The Thermal Design Power (TDP) is the average maximum power a processor can dissipate while running commercially available software. TDP is primarily used as a guideline for manufacturers of thermal solutions (heatsinks/fans, etc) which tells them how much heat their solution should dissipate.
