My laptop is making weird noises. (HP Pavilion Touchsmart (Idk the exact type) )

It vibrates and makes weird noises. Idk how to fix it. It makes weird noises like every 2 minutes. Please help.

It also makes a high-pitch noise..

If the hdd is frying, Thats fucked up. I bought this laptop around 4 months ago.

It could also be dust in the fans or your disk drive could be out of place. Maybe even a few lose screws that could be easy to fix. I have opened many laptops and upgraded RAM and hard drives and etc. There is a lot that could be wrong but the PSU is apparently unreliable so it could also be that. Call the HP helpline because according to some people they can help a lot before you go see someone who might mess it up.

Probably your hdd is dying. There isnt much you can or should do about it besides replacing it. It is possible that its a fan malfunctioning.

Vibration & high-pitched noise could be a number of things (or a combination of things).

High-pitched could be the fan (dust?), so could vibration.
Vibration could be the HDD

Personally, I'd run diagnostics on the HDD to find out what's going on there. If it's dying, I'd replace that ASAP before it goes fully. Then I'd find a video showing how to disassemble & open it up. Use compressed air to clean out dust etc and see how it sounds after that.

I cant even get the back of it open. Now what to do? I might just send it back and get a new one.

Send back the entire laptop? If you can do that without any charges id say go for it, but if its just the hdd that is a really inexpensive component. Type your exact model in on youtube for disassembling instructions. Dont yank off anything you might damage something. If you cant find a video or anything give me your exact model and I will help you find one. As for the hdd dying, it is very possible, I have had some last 8+ years and I have had some drop dead at 2 weeks after installation.

I cant seem to find the manual right now, tbh tho im exhausted so im not putting much effort. I cant seem to find a video either. If you can find the manual it should show you how to take it apart. For the most part laptops are pretty simple, unscrew all the screws on the back and take it off. Then like the others have said make sure everything is nice and secure inside and use some compressed air if u got it on the fans at least. You could also send a quick email to the manufacturer and I am sure they could provide some detailed instructions to remove the back.

Ok I figured out that its the cooling fan thats not working. My laptop would now overheat in around 30 minutes of use.

I'm not sure about the HDD.

Until I fix it. Would a cooling pad work?

Also I found the model. Its HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-b100 15-b153nr 15.6in. Touchscreen LED (BrightView) Notebook - AMD A-Series A8-4555M Quad-core (4 Core) 1.60 GHz

It has a shit cpu but It does the job for me.

Without specific temperatures it is hard to tell. But if your computer is overheating to the point where its causing noises and what not, I dont suggest even turning it on. A cooling pad might help, but I am not too sure, never used them. Can you tell if its the fan by the processor? Did you clean everything out real good, dust can def be a culprit of overheating. Also just make sure the fan is nice and secure in there. If none of that works you might have to just replace the fan which will be a lot cheaper than replacing the HDD.
