[SOLVED] Need help Picking A CPU For My build. Its Between The i7 4790k Or The New i7 6700 non K.

Solution

the 6700 really only has better integrated graphics, go with the 4790k unless you want to be cool

that's inaccurate, there's benchmarks at the bottom of every page of comparisons.
Benchmarks are relevant to the user's environment and configuration, the link you dumped is a CPUz report of less specs than CPUBoss about as useful as choosing racecars based solely on your snapshot of license plates.

There are no benchmarks on that page. There are some bar graphs, but they are just showing you comparisons of clocks and other features. No actual comparisons are done with benchmarks unless there are some links that I am not finding on the page. Perhaps you can show us the actual benchmarks.

The link I gave was the first page of the review. You can see a drop down list of pages, including many actual benchmarks:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/skylake-intel-core-i7-6700k-core-i5-6600k,4252-6.html
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/skylake-intel-core-i7-6700k-core-i5-6600k,4252-7.html

Edit: There is one problem with the review I gave, it doesn't include the non K version, but at least you get an idea of what a real comparison is. Finding a non K review is proving tough.

So is the i7 4790k a more powerful cpu for gaming mainly and I bit of video rendering using sony Vegas? Btw i won't be over clocking. And is it worth getting the i7 6700 just being it comes with ddr4 ram.Yeah I know ddr4 isn't much performance gain over DDR3 atm but in a year or two won't there be a bigger difference between DDR3 and ddr4.I'll be keeping this pc for about 4-5 years so do you reckon it would be better going with skyline?
