Hello, i have the following problems with my GPU evga gtx 660 sc

First of all sorry for my english,

When i'm playing League of Legends per example , im getting black screens and after some seconds its recovering, ( sometimes every 5 mins, sometimes every 1 mins, however its constantly ) black textures, also happened a couple times that it just freezed and i had to reboot computer , and this too:
5fwPz56K
( in this screenshot that concrete part of the map had lines all over that place , but the rest was fine )

Also add that i recently upgraded my computer with i7 4790k+ gigabyte z97x gaming 3 and before all was fine , problem came after that, i doubt it is the problem but oh well... i applied new thermal paste to the gpu and cleaned the fan.

So that is pretty much it , i tried last drivers , the previous version and the original drivers version that came with the original evga box.
Any idea on what could be the problem ?

Well i had problems with the ram some months ago, blue screens. I thought it was solved tho since i pluged them in again and was fixed.
I don't have an other power supply or rams to test so i don't know what im gonna do, ill be messing with drivers i guess and see if i can get it to work.
So far i'm getting 1 second freezes and even total freeze ( have to restart pc) with original evga box CD drivers, controller 314.07

Control Panel:
IAn3DjtR

Yes, the issues you are seeing are often hardware not driver issues. I don't know how many times I see posts where people said "driver update fixed it" then come back to say "no, issue is back" LOL

Make sure your card works in another system fine, if it does, try a different power supply, also play around with the RAM, try one stick at a time if you have more than one.

So i was testing the whole day , tried with only 1 ram stick at a time (error persist), switched to other ram channels , then tried the same with all 3 different sticks and still the same problem.
I updated my mobo bios to latest version ( gigabyte z97x gaming 3) from F6 to F7 and still same problem.
Pluged off and back in my gpu just to make sure it was perfectly and all of 3 ram sticks back again and still same problem.
So im going to RMA the mobo today, i will test my gpu and ram in my brother's pc in the next few days and hopefully i can find an answer to my problem...
Any idea please would be really appreciated

Hey hang, it's me again :)

I've been searching like crazy for similar problems in the internet and i found a thread where some guy recommended to validate windows or something through windows loader application, and i think i did read this message when i tried to update from windows 7 to 10 ( like a msg that i wasn't able to update bcs my w7 wasn't validated) , it was the second time since i updated it before i bought new ssd + mobo + cpu so i thought i was only able to update 1 time for free.
Can't test it myself right now since i did RMA my mobo today.

This is the video was refering to the guy from the thread i just talked about https://m.youtube.com/?hl=es&gl=ES#/results?q=Battlefiel%203%20for%20pc%20lock%20up%20freeze&sm=12
It is exactly what happens to me... Sometimes i will get those annoying freezes for 1sec and then total freeze even with sound stuck as in this video and sometimes textures fuck up like in the screenshot i linked in 1st post

Ok i will do that when i have my mobo back home, hopefully is only that... I think is gpu issue tho.
Also i had problems updating windows one of the last times when i restarted my pc it started to download 212 updates then shut down, after i switched it on there was a message onscreen like: "applying updates" and after some minutes it would change tje message to "couldn't apply changes, reversing changes"
This happened 3 times and then i downloaded / install them manually from windows update center succesfully, however i was still unable to play games normally...

So i got today a new mobo from RMA , and the problem was there again with freezes etc...
( tested gpu and ram in my brother's computer and they worked fine)

I formated and installed fresh windows 7 and had same errors , i went to windows event viewer and i realized that everytime i got freezes etc some specific error pops up there , specifically one related to gpu drivers or something:

CFkNH43F

hMJlYbwO

5B7GI01E

vJNAwrpO

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2509488/display-driver-nvlddmkm-stopped-responding-recovered.html (same error here, the guy didnt fixt it neither )
so i tried everything i found on the internet but nothing worked ... lf assistance before im forced to buy a new gpu just to try or i dont know... im so sad right now

Yes it could be, as I mentioned in the first reply :)

Have you tested the card in another system or another card in yours? That is the first thing to do when there are odd things with displays not related to a monitor issue.

Yeah i tested the gpu in my brother's computer and he had no freezes/crashes , now im using his gtx 560ti and i'm testing one full day playing league of legends and cs:go non-stop , no errors / freeze / crash until now. I'll tell you something next few days but i think the gpu is just faulty for some reason.

edit: it's been a week playing nonstop with the other gpu and 0 errors so /close thread
