Upgraded CPU, now can't boot with two memory sticks.

Old CPU: Intel Core i5-3350P

Current setup:
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
RAM: 2/1 x G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB DDR3 1600 (F3-12800CL10S-8GBXL)

So before the upgrade I had both sticks in working just fine. Now I can't get it to boot with RAM in both slots (It goes into the 2 second constant reboot mode with nothing appearing on the screen). I tried each stick by itself, each load fine individually. I tried dualing on each channel and neither work, so it's not a dead RAM slot or something. Tried reseting CMOS to no avail. Made sure RAM was clocked at 1600mhz with one stick in, didn't fix it. Can't change the voltage on this MOBO. Not sure what to do or what has gone wrong. CPU is the only change made to the system.

Solution
Have you tried the sticks in slots 1-2 - may have the CPU cooler too tight in a corner or side, if it's a third party cooler. That can effectively cause you to 'lose' a channel, try loosening then snug down screw tight

Nvm, updated the bios and now I can find the RAM voltage section (not sure if they added it or I just missed it before). Interestingly enough, I now have to undervoltage my RAM to get it to boot. Put it to 1.42 instead of 1.5 and it works. I'll fine tune it later. Wondering if I need a new PSU, have had mine for many years.

No nvm, not solved. Now even though it boots it is showing 8 gigs of RAM instead of 16 in the system. I have windows 7 ultimate 64bit. When I can get it to boot with both sticks I get the same amount of RAM in windows as one stick, and once again I've tried using both individually and they seem to work fine. I'm down for buying a new mobo or Ram stick or w/e, but I need to isolate the problem.

This appears to be the issue. I do indeed have a custom heat sink, and i tried flipping it around the other way to get the air to blow the opposite direction when I switched cpus. I flipped it back around and put the screws on till they're just barely tight and it still wont work in dual channel, but I put the RAM in two different channels and it now boots up and displays 16 gigs. I put both sticks in the two opposite colored/channel slots furthest from the cpu. Might try fiddling with the cooler more and just get a new MOBO if I cant get it to work, since I can get an upgrade for pretty cheap seeing as this is a pretty old socket type (and be really careful putting the cooler in). At least I know where the issue is, thanks.
