Windows 7 won't start with graphics card driver installed.

Windows will freeze upon reaching the Windows logo during startup if I have the Microsoft driver installed for my graphics card (Nvidia GeForce 8500GT). The driver worked perfectly fine up until recently.
The computer will start up without a driver or with Nvidia drivers, however without a driver I obviously can't use the graphics card and with Nvidia drivers (seemingly all of them, I've tried new ones, old ones, ones in beta, ones recommended for my graphics card, etc.) the computer will freeze (screen pauses on whatever it was displaying at the time and no inputs aside from the power button work) after a while.
A fix for either issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Normally I would start by getting the the newest drivers from web page using "driver cleaner" program re-boot install new card push f8 go into safe mode install new driver re-boot and should be fine if not then its probably a PSU issue
