Like the title says..

Bought recently this mobo http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z97M%20OC%20Formula/index.pt.asp

and the msi r9 390 http://www.msi.com/product/graphics-card/R9-390-GAMING-8G.html#hero-overview

Couldnt get the pc to boot consistely so sent the pc to repair to the shop that sold me the componentes ( all parts were bought there).

After 4 days they called me back saying that it was a rare case of incompatibility between the mobo and the GPU and suggested me to get a GTX.

What troubles me is the mobo manufacturer assures it is Crossfire ready. Some components are Sapphire, which deals exclusivly with AMD.

So this is BS or you guys know cases where it has happened?

As long as they replace everything and get it working at the shop , I think you ought to be fine for no extra cost. But changing the GPU from AMD to Nvidia because of a hardware conflict doesn't seem to be the right reason. The documentation very clearly mentions compatibility , if not, then it's false advertising and the company is liable for damages incurred.

Well cant try anything atm as the pc is at the store getting handled by their people. But the problem was the pc sometimes would boot, other times no . And then the GPU fans would start spinning max speed with no image beeing displayed.

Well that's exactly why I feel i am beeing ripped off. Like I ordered the mobo and payed them to instal it to be in the safe side. I think they checked the BIOS, looked fine and that's it. Originaly they claimed there was a issue with the PCI-e port. Now they claim is an rare incompatibility between the mobo and the gpu, which honestly I ve never heard of. And to be honest the possibility to have a faulty mobo scares the crap out of me as it wouldnt be the first that burned me components. I cant shake the feeling that this is BS... You agree? Also I can RMA the card, while mobo already passed the 15 days perio, and I think that's affecting their claim.
