I am playing two games now, CSGO and Rocket League, through Steam. All though I have the csgo mm picker and set the region I want to play in, I always get European servers with 125 ping. As for rocket league I chose asia, southeast asia and Europe and again I only get European servers with high ping.

Its obvious that people do play in Asia and all, but what is the issue, why cant I connect to other servers besides Europe?

Is it a NAT Type problem? please suggest!

I am using a TP link router. Connected to it by lan cable.

I have played on Asian servers in the past, but since the last many weeks I just cant connect.

What country are you in?
Who is your internet service provider?
Is it cable or dsl?
Have you tried connecting directly to your modem instead of using a router?

I don't have a modem. Just a router. Its a DSL connection. So a wire from a neighbouring building comes into my bed room. That building has many router like looking things hooked up on a floor, I think those are the modems. Anyways, my router is a TP-Link WRN740 Wireless N router. My pc is connected to it via LAN.

I could try connecting the main internet cable (WAN, am I saying it correct?) to my PC, but I regularly need wifi so even if it works I will have to come back to the router for wifi....

I tried DMZ enabling

UPnP enabling

Port forwarding for my router to OPEN the NAT. But my CSGO and Rocket league or any game for that matter still wont connect to Asian servers. Just EU west only.
