Hello, I have an MSI R9 270X with Twin Frozr fans. The question I want to ask is if my GPU is running too hot.

I was playing GTA V earlier today, and at the beginning the temps were like 70-75C, but after playing the game for like 15-20 minutes the temps raised up to 80-90. I never saw it over 90C. The card's fan is also broken I think ,as it makes this unusual sound, tried everything to fix it but I couldn't. I can't RMA the card because it was purchased in the capital city, which is 4 hours away from me, and the warranty is about to end.

You can try getting a warranty replacement before the warranty expires. Fan malfunction can might as well slide in as a reason.

Those temperatures are touching the ceiling but are not terrible - the card can live with them but it is a bit too high.

+1 on the above.

You should be able to RMA the card without issue (it will only cost you the price of the postage surely?).

I'd call whomever you got the card from first, confirm the RMA process with them, get an RMA form and reference, then chase the crap out of them until you get back a new card. That is what warranties are for.....

Basically 85c max is normal for this card. I don't if you have the Sapphire one because i had this card with FX6300 on Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 and my temp was similar to yours. Yea this card works hot but you can increase fan speed as you wish in the future. You can get a new if you still in guarantee 1 last day man.
