Looking for something future proof at a budget of $200-400

I'm more interested in an Intel i7 or another server CPU if theres one cheap and isn't bottle-necking my GPU. Maybe its time to convert to AMD for the price I'm not sure. I'd like to keep my DDR3 ram while still having the choice to upgrade to DDR4 which I haven't found besides DDR3L(backwards compatible)

Intrests: AsRock, asus maximus VIII, any ROG mobo is nice.

heres some things I'm debating to buy

If you want to future proof you might want to go for skylake. Z170 Mobo and one of the i5s.

Yes, you'd have to go with DDR4 RAM, but if you're looking for future-proofing, that's probably the best way to go. It fits within the $400 budget. If you're not really looking to future-proof with the latest stuff like usb type c and thunderbolt you could go haswell as well if you're just looking to be able to game over the new few years.

This seems perfect except I have a heavy load PC thats the debate between i7 and i5 but this build generally fits my needs without the exception for OC yet this is in budget range.. right now this is going to be my choice.
