I've managed to lower this guys selling price to $200, I was going to buy my friends desktop for the same price, but decided to bail.

HP Laptop Pavilion G7
Specs
Processor - AMD A6-3420M APU with Radeon HD graphics (6520G)
RAM - 8 GB
HDD - 700 GB
Total Video Memory - 4079 MB

Question is, is this worth $200, again I'm no expert on computer I only want a fair deal

Solution
considering for $300 you can buy a brand new a6 based laptop, i'd rather buy new.

however, if you do not have that option because of low budget... i would say $200 is not unheard of although i would personally not pay that much. i'd say he is asking on the high side of current value though if its in tip top condition, everything is working right and it comes with any software like word thats not a terrible deal.

hopefully you want it just as a general use laptop not for gaming or anything serious.

edit:
agreed, battery is an issue. overlooked that, thanks for thereminder joe. remember the costs for battery replacements may be high.

Seems an okay deal to me. Other things to consider though: How old is the laptop? What is the battery life currently like? What do you plan to use it for? If it is not capable of doing what you want it to then the answer to your question is no I would not buy it.

Yes sir this would be a fair deal. Now if you wanted to save up about $50 I can help you build a better build than what this laptop has to offer but the laptop comes with a display, built in mouse, and I mean everything else the computer needs to run so this is a great deal for $200 but don't expect this to be making out anygame lol But it will run WoW for sure. Hopefully I helped !

Thanks everyone for your replies. The condition of the laptop is pretty good, 7/10 in my opinion. Battery isn't a problem, but could be in the future. I don't plan on ever taking the charger out of the laptop so it will always be plugged in. I only wanted to use it for world of warcraft.

Also, for the same price my friend was selling me his custom built

OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows 10 Home (64-bit)
PROCESSOR: Dual Core AMD Athlon II X2 220 2.80 GHz
RAM: 4 GB
GRAPHICS CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (with 2 GB memory)

So out of the two options I have, which would be best for gaming and general use?

The custom built would win this hands down man. Just try to get another 4 gb of ram.
