I'd like to upgrade my "C" system drive -148GB SSD- to a 256GB SSD, seamlessly if possible. The C drive is for Win7-64bit, and many installed programs. I have Acronis, but the instructions are a bit obscure and don't answer several questions. Would Paragon work?? Any other ideas? A clean install is out of the question, I've moved several times and don't have all the discs.

Any of the free cloning programs should work and expand the partition just fine.
OEMs like to have a Restore partition on them and that leaves you stuck with more work after cloning because the empty space isn't next to the partition you want to expand.

That's a very helpful answer! Thanks! Can anyone recommend a free cloning program that's suitable for someone who's IT skills can be summed up as "can read and follow directions"?
