1. Can the asrock 960gm-gs3 fx run an AMD 9370 FX cpu ? I've gotten multiple answers saying yes or not because this is the my current board and i want to know if i need to upgrade it or not to use this CPU.

2. If my board isnt good enough (Asrock 960gm-gs3), which is the cheapest board that i could get that could run this cpu?

Thank you for reading if you need any of my other specs i will give them to you.

No, it cant support that processor.
It lacks the proper power delivery to support the FX-8xxx or 9xxx series. It supports up to 95w, and you are looking to run 220w.
For that processor, I recommend the Sabertooth. It aint cheap, but it works great:

However, I do not recommend that processor at all. Either get an 8320 and OC yourself, or (my recommendation) switch to intel.

Buy some kick-ass case fans, a water-cooling radiator, and the motherboard linked above. You'll need a hefty power supply too, depending on what graphics card you've got in there.

Or you can return it and pick up a FX-8320, GA-970A-UD3P or MSI Gaming 970, a simple air CPU cooler, and get close to the same performance - or an i5-4590/6500 and cheap H-series motherboard for better performance and a lot less heat and money spent on the entire build.

I have the same cooler. That will simply not cut it with a 220W TDP CPU. It can't get rid of the heat fast enough.

so i'd be better just refunding the cpu? if i did which would be $170usd Which Cpu and Motherboard would you recommend with the Hyper 212 evo Cooler.?

Alright so i cancelled the order on the 9370 and im thinking about ordering a 8350 and what motherboard should i order?
